Family Summer Road Trip 2015, part 1

Inspired by Pinterest, these binders were a neat way to keep the girls busy, and "Mom & Dad's" kept us organized with all our reservations.
Day 1: travel 6 hrs to Olmsted Falls, OH (suburb of Cleveland)
Our friends from Valpo took us to their splash pad and we adventured around their little falls in the quarry.
Counting frogs. They have two adorable boys about 2 and 4 and expecting another in a few weeks.
Brett had the kids making hypothesis on how to stop the water.
We walked around the downtown and it's pretty cute!

The next morning was four hours to our hotel in Niagara Falls, Ontario.
There was a pleasant park just off our route that was super for a picnic.
Feeling happy to be on vacation with our family!
We checked into our hotel and walked down Clifton Hill or what they call "The street of fun at the falls," and over to the viewing area:
American Falls & Bridal Veil Falls

It was almost 5pm and really hot.

One of the fun stores was the Hershey's store!
We can see the falls illuminated (they do that at 9) and then the fireworks show starts at 10 on Sundays. Cool!

In the morning we walked down to Table Rock, closer to the Horseshoe Falls. The misting is massive. As we got closer it was like it was raining. Super Close! :) Ben's favorite part!
Lydia & Abigail weren't in the same awe as they were when they first met Cinderella, but I think they were still impressed...somewhat.
