Happy Halloween!

Carving Pumpkins!
Abby helped clean the seeds for roasting.
Lydia the Black Cat chasing the Mouse Pumpkin

All Aglow
Since Abby is a pretty princess, her pumpkin is a baby princess with hair drawn with marker.

Our cute trick-or-treating crew ready to go!

For perhaps the first time as an adult, I dressed up...and it was fun!

Around the neighborhood with Uncle Matt and Aunt Sarah

We came back to hot chili and this black bean and pumpkin soup with sour cream spider web. :)

Candy Sorted and Counted:
100 pieces in Abgail's stash, and 160 in Lydia's (she trick-or-treated an additional cul de sac and additionally at Drexel Town Square and Racine Zoo while Abby stayed home)

Last weekend we visited the Pumpkin Pavilion in Bay View...spooky!

Chinooks

Just found some lost pictures from a Chinooks game in July. Mequon's minor league baseball team provides quality family entertainment.
 Grumpy kids?
Oh no, crop that out! 😉
Beautiful summer night; Great summer pass time!

LEGOLAND Chicago

Despite this discovery center being slightly crowded and noisy on a no school Friday, like all discovery centers of all kinds tend to be (sometimes I look forward to the day the girls outgrow these activities), we had a lot of fun here!
Here's 1 pumpkin to mark on our pumpkin scavenger hunt for Miniland.
The Chicago Miniland was really a sight to see, made from millions of LEGO bricks. You could play I Spy in there for days! They must change it with the seasons, because the trees were colorful and skeletons were running all around the city.

Lydia's favorite LEGO Friend in Heartlake City is Olivia

This girl loves to build and create!

We watched two 4D movies. The special effects were exciting and it's always fun to see the girls reach out to grab something that is right...there...I can almost touch it...

Here you get to build a boat and test it. Another area let you build a car and send it down the race hill.

It was fun to go at Halloween time. The Master Builder Academy had cool glow-in-the-dark Legos to build with! The room was dark with black lights.

They were also doing "Brick or Treat," so when we got home we built a ghost with the bricks we collected. Nice little take-home.

Wheel of Fortune Fun

The Wheel Mobile came to Oak Creek and we came out to support Stacy enter for a chance to go up on the stage and spin the wheel!
Pat Sajak and Vanna White were there at Steinhafels!
No, but some other fun traveling host and hostesses were.
Stacy didn't get her name randomly drawn, but we all had a lot of fun!

School is tasty and fun!

Breakfast with Books
Parents got to join their Kindergartners for breakfast to kick off their reading program!
I also helped out in her classroom once this month and Abby raised her hand 3 times to answer questions!
Looking happy to hold a bess beetle, one of their classroom pets!

When making pumpkin spice donut holes counts as homework!

Bikers & BBQ

Both the girls have worked really hard throughout this summer at learning to ride their bike without training wheels.
Daddy running with Abigail down the cul de sac!

Lydia proud to have made it to her friend's house on the other side of the subdivision, without training wheels!
As of now, Abigail loves to zoom around on her bike with training wheels, and Lydia likes to ride free of training wheels!

Made it to Summerfest grounds this year not for Summerfest, but for BBQ fest. Enjoyed the street performers as Lydia and Abigail have a big interest in magic, and enjoyed a smoky good lunch!

Big Changes

Yay! We have 2 mortgages! 😜
The girls love this 685 sq foot house. It's charming and adorable...and for rent!
Our life has certainly been inconvenienced in the process of closing, finding a renter and showings, but it has also been enhanced with meeting new people. The same can be said for me rejoining the workforce. Life is a bit more complicated (especially when anyone gets sick), but I am exercising my skills and serving. I see my job as an extension of my life. It also allows the girls to experience ASPIRE, the before and after school care. Working Mondays, Thursdays, and every other Sunday, I can still find some much needed down time. Ben's job has been demanding more travel, so that's been a juggle too. But we Pulleys are always up for a challenge and stronger having gone through them together!

World Rhino Day @ Racine Zoo

The Racine Zoo does such a good job with special events with their staff and volunteers.

Danielle slept over so we took her with on Saturday morning to celebrate World Rhino Day, 9/23/17!

"Snacktivity"

We learned a lot at the different stations about the Rhino and enjoyed the hot morning at the zoo!

Additionally, I'm tacking onto this post with this cute picture from a rainy October day at the zoo...
