Don't you just adore mispronunciations by cute little kids like Lydia such as when 'birthday' comes out sounding like 'birdie?' I know I do anyway.

Lydia blew out Daddy's candle with ease. She's now well-practiced and fully ready for her birthday that's just 11 days away.

Dad forged a path in our backyard for Lydia and I to slide down.

My little sweetheart is affectionate. She gives good hugs to Aaliyah-ones that almost knock her over.

And smothering kisses.

This is the "protect me from the dog" hug.

The "I'm gonna get you!" hug with Kinsey.

And when we set up the play tent from Grandma Jan, Lydia ran in calling it her house, pulled in pillows to make it her home, and hugged her teddy bear tight in her arms.
