Let's go to the Park!

Grandma Linda stayed at our house for the week after Lydia's baptism. We went out to the park one of those days when the weather was really nice, albeit windy. We also had fun dressing her in a new 3 month size outfit. It's a little bit big but she'll grow into it quick, I'm sure!

Baptism Day

Stacy and I got Lydia dressed and ready in her crib.
Lydia's sins are being washed away. Looks like she's doing a back flip!

She was beautiful in the dress that Jan made from my wedding gown.

After-party was at our house.

With sponsors Stacy and Greg.

This little girl's conked out, but she better get ready for a big weekend ahead: visitors and her baptism!

New Developments

This is exciting! As of yesterday, Lydia's been holding her head up strong for a long time, and also vocalizing! The vocalizations are like a howl or ahh. And she can turn the head from side to side. So proud of my little one!

Baby Feet

The topic of this blog was going to be about spit-up, but Ben objected stating he didn't want to scare any potential babysitters away. Therefore, this blog will be about how adorable Lydia's feet are...

I love Lydia's feet! I leave them bare at every chance I get. They are amazingly little, about the length of one of my fingers. They are oh so soft and kissable, not yet dirtied from walking. Each one has five perfect tiny toes. They flex when she's stretching; they get kicked and pumped by her legs when she's excited or fussy. They fit in the smallest socks and the cutest baby shoes. They support the favorite sports team. Yes, these feet can give anyone a baby foot fetish. And best of all, they don't spit-up! :)

1 Month

I can't believe we survived one month! It went by fast, and I'm desperate for six hours of uninterrupted sleep. I can tell Lydia is plumping up some and is more awake. We went to Sears Portrait today to capture her at 1 month.

Calm in the hooded towel.

Here's a shot of her "curly" hair for Grandma Linda.

Love to Shop

We girls took a trip to the mall today! Lydia was a good shopper at GAP, Hallmark, and up and down the escalator. Onlookers marveled at her cuteness ;) We had to make just one pit stop at the Koala Kare changing station to dispel some fussiness. In the end, we shopped till we dropped.

Lydia was also good at Red Lobster yesterday. Most restaurants now have 'slings' for their baby guests. They're Koala Kare brand like the changing stations, interestingly enough. We didn't know what to do with the buckle, but Lydia was good and secure in it regardless. The nice waitress set it up on the non-traffic side of the table so that Ben didn't have to worry about plates and drinks being spilled on Lydia. (He pulled up the sun shade anyway...overprotective dad?)
