Happy Easter

They found their baskets Easter morning.
with some puzzle piece clues.

The girls are well trained to shout, "Jesus is Alive," when they find an empty egg.

Lydia brought her school friend, Elizabeth to the church egg hunt.

Pictures with this Easter cross was consolation to an Easter alter family picture.

Cousins quickly search for their colored eggs.

 Sisters!
 Cute cousins on a couch.
Bunny ears elicit extra giggles on Easter Sunday.
He is Risen! Alleluia!

Happy St Patrick's Day

Abigail came out of preschool with this frog mask on St Patrick's Day. She loved it.
Lydia set a leprechaun trap at school the day before. I printed off an Irish/green scavenger hunt and Dad came up with a 5-clue treasure hunt at home that included our talking toy bird. And for eating festive, this year it was putting green spinach in the manicotti.
 "What's next? A shamrock."
Abigail had her first cleaning. It's really always a pleasant experience going to Market Place Dental :)! Since she did such a good job keeping her mouth wide open we went for a treat afterwards.
Pink frosting and sprinkles. We had to test the protection of the flouride treatment ;)!
The line for face painting at Oak Creek Library's fundraiser, The Big Thaw was long but worth the wait! Princess masks.
This is what happens when they use my phone as a mirror.

Fort Zachary, Key West

Here at the Southernmost Point of the Continental US again!

On our personal tour of Fort Zachary.
Looking down the barrel to see if it's smooth or spiral for a rifle cannon.
We walked up the spiral staircase.
(Do you know why most forts have spiral stairs? Because it gives the (right-handed) defenders an advantage at sword fighting!)

The beach at Fort Zachary was rocky, but had a great picnic site!

Lydia drawn to the water; Abigail to the sand.

Proud of the tiny shell she found.
Happy with the waves.

Grandpa found this shell snorkeling. Something was living inside though, so we had to put it back. We said good bye to Grandma and Grandpa and had to leave the sunshine behind too. Oh well, Spring will be here soon.

Jr. Rangers, Birthday

 Frolicking on the ocean beach.
 Awesome sky.
Going over the 6 worksheets they completed to become certified Florida State Junior Rangers.
The girls got sworn in with the ranger hat! They now have their passport and can work towards getting a badge.

Path to the Old Bahia Honda Bridge and looking out.

Taking a break from geocaching to take in the view.
 More awesome sky.
Grandma's friends were camping in the park and brought over a birthday gift for Abigail on the 29th, she enjoyed the headband and bubbles right away.
 Bunny dresses.

4 spread out candles to blow out on her aqua blue cupcakes.

The girls really enjoyed their little adventure rides on the kayak through the lagoon and to the beach.

We saw the Key Deer when we weren't looking for them. Unlike Whitetail Deer, these are small, cute and endangered and have a national refuge on Big Pine Key and No Name Key.
Gorgeous.
