First Plane Ride

She really did quite well on the plane. I think she liked being so close to Mommy and Daddy. Plus, she liked looking out the window. A new My Little Pony didn't hurt either. And then we brought back the pacifier, mostly so her ears wouldn't pop during the ascent and descent, but it hung around longer that just those times.

I have to say, this party was flush with cupcakes!! We had french vanilla funfetti with sour drops on top. We had chocolate and sprinkles. And the favorite was the bakery-style jumbo strawberry. This is the kind that Lydia got, but with a candle...that she almost ate!
Adults gotta have coffee with their cupcakes. Take your pick.
Ben put up streamers in the family and dining rooms. They looked great and festive!

One Year!

Tears, diapers, feeding, sleepless nights, teething... First words, smiles, giggles, playtime...
We've made it through Lydia's first year!

Today, she's 18 1/2 pounds and 28 inches long, and still has lots of growing to do.
