She got a taste of our life with two kids, experiencing the sweet, the precious, the tantrums, Klements sausage, Racine Kringles, Scrabble, Candlyland, bedtime stories, potty training, and more. :)

At The Zoo

Lydia has a CD with a song that goes, "Do you want to go to the zoo, Lydia; do you do you do you do you?...You can see a chimpanzee, Lydia...There's lots for you to see and do."

So when we asked her if she wanted to go to the zoo last week, she was very excited; "Like my song!" she said.

 I see two zebras and a rhino. 

"That's not a rhino, Mom. That's Abigail." 

Oh, you're right.

Peacocks were everywhere! These two were engaging in a showy dance!

 The grizzly bears looked so cute. My better judgement kept me from climbing over the fence to snuggle with them.

"Look! A hippo!" Where? Oh, her cracker.

You probably noticed us all bundled up. Because it was cold! But the penguins were in their element.

Still gotta love Milwaukee, eh?

Necklace Queen

It would be smart to think that Lydia had something to do with Abigail wearing all these beaded necklaces.

 But in all actuality, Lydia was sound asleep taking her nap.

One at a time, Abigail pulled a necklace out of the cruiser and over her head until they were all gone and she was loaded down like no good person on Mardi Gras should be.

Then she happily strutted around,
as far as she could go before tripping and falling.

Baking with Dora

Just look at that smirk on our little cake decorator.

Doesn't she look like a pro, apron and all? (Great use for all that Easter candy!!)

I almost forgot, but Lydia compared our cake to the recipe book  picture and alerted me that, 'It's not done yet, Mom!!'

There. Dora's castle is now complete with flags.

Easter 2013

We didn't go see the Easter bunny this year, but that's okay because the Easter bunny came to our house and left the girls each a basket and a bunch of eggs to hunt for!

Lydia led the hunt finding two eggs in each spot:  "One for me, one for Abigail."

The bunny didn't have to get too creative this year. Just hiding the eggs in the corners of rooms, on windowsills, on the piano, in the play kitchen sink, and in a plant was good enough.

Aunt Stacy had us over for Easter dinner where Abigail ran around so fast Aaliyah couldn't couldn't catch her, and neither could the camera.
