Disney Day 1-Magic Kingdom

After our early flight into Orlando, we boarded the Magical Express and made it to our Disney resort, Art of Animation, at 2:30 to check-in, drop off a bag, and get in line for the shuttle to Magic Kingdom. 

 So on with the sunscreen, sunglasses and magic bands!

We arrived just in time for the Festival of Fantasy parade on Main Street.

Prince Charming & Cinderella

Rapunzel is always so excited to be out of her tower!

 The Maleficent dragon was cool, but it scared Abigail a bit.

Mickey and Minnie closed out the parade. Then it was time for us to go get on some rides!

 We all enjoyed Winnie the Pooh. It turns to a fun house feel for Pooh's dream.

 While Dad and Lydia went on Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Abigail and I rode the Tea Cups! So delightful to see Abigail on this. 

 We weren't sure if Lydia would be a little scared on the Mine Train, but I got a thumbs up when they came out of it, so with Rider Switch, Lydia and I rode it while Dad did Tea Cups with Abigail.

 She didn't even need me to hold her hand. At the end, it takes you by the back of this cottage where you see Snow White dancing with the seven dwarfs. The theming is great!

We had time for a quick service dinner at the Columbia Harbour House before our fast pass at Fairy Tale Hall. 

 Rapunzel bounced over to greet the girls. Lydia and Abigail were fascinated by her hair and dress.

 This is the princess whom Lydia was most excited to meet. They talked for a good amount of time!

 Then Cinderella gave the girls a big warm hug.

 She had a spot-on voice, was so kind and lovely, and marveled at the girls' ballroom dancing.

 Cinderella's shoes now have straps on them. This is the start of Abigail's princess shoe fetish.

 The Fairy Tale Hall was very intimate. Rapunzel and Cinderella gave them lots of attention and  special moments.

 We then took a ride on the carousel and decided to call it a day, a very happy day.
