We found snow!

FRIDAY...
Alluvial Fan
Chasm Falls
Then we continued on the Old Fall River Road. It's one-way up only and open July-September with hair pin turns.
We were all looking at the herd of Elk. They were so close! Some people further up on the trail were stuck as the Elk were crossing below. Huge racks!

I got the sense I was in the Alps with the snow and view.

this is a picture of a Marmot-check that animal off your ranger packet!

Super high at 11,796 ft, but not too chilly.
Big gift shop sold cans of oxygen.

Colorado-Y Camp

We had a great vacation with family in Colorado this summer.
In fact, we Rocked the Park 2020! These pictures and smiles are a little bit of proof.
Abby, Lydia, Will climbed a boulder across the street from our cabin soon after we arrived.

Lydia & Dad

Grandma brought toys!

The playground visible from our cabin had a tire swing! We had lots of trips to this playground and the "secret playground" by the reunion cabins.

I love this picture of Lydia, Aubrey, ,Will & Abby. This is another boulder just a short walk from our cabin.

Girl on a Rock

We brought Will's belated and Aubrey's early birthday gifts for them to open.

Starting on our ceramic painting projects at the Craft & Design Center. We painted outside.

Mountain Air Dining on the side patio
patio view

Grandma brought a rocket launcher and we all had fun running up and stomping the rocket up into space.
Grandpa showing off his catches of the day.

We signed up for activities 2 weeks prior.
Creek Stomping had us finding nymphs that show the creek is healthy.

We ESCAPED the Harry Potter house!
A stop on our Treasure Trek!
Mini Golf

This mule deer loved hanging out at our Kum Ba Ya cabin.

Can't blame her. It's a great cabin with plenty of vegetation and a stunning view!

Doing hair and getting Junior Ranger badge with Grandpa.

Girl time at their Secret Hideout.

One of Lydia's favorite parts of the vacation was watching the hummingbirds.
